ABOUT Ken Okada – Founder & Designer
Ken Okada, a Japanese fashion designer and graduate of Bunka Fashion College in Tokyo, moved to Paris in 1997 after gaining her first professional experience as a designer in Japan. In 2001, she founded the fashion house Ken Okada and opened her boutique in Saint-Germain-des-Prés in 2005.
Renowned for her contemporary and architectural shirts for women, Ken Okada has developed a distinctive universe where Japanese precision meets Parisian elegance. Her collections have been distributed through prestigious retailers such as Galeries Lafayette Haussmann in Paris and Takashimaya New York, as well as selected international boutiques.
Over the years, Ken Okada has established herself as a reference in contemporary shirt design. She has collaborated with Galeries Lafayette on staff uniforms and created costumes for dancers of the Paris Opera.
Today, the house continues its evolution under the name OKADA PARIS, affirming a strong and independent Franco-Japanese identity while looking confidently toward the future.
